Functional Genomics

We have established a large collection of human and murine cancer cell lines. These cell lines were isolated from various different cancer entities, ranging from carcinomas, to sarcomas and hematological neoplasias. These cell lines are extensively characterized, both on a genomic and a transcriptomic level. We have generated a platform that allows rapid screening of isolated compounds, as well as compound combinations on the entire cell line panel. In addition, we have developed software tools that allow us to pinpoint certain genetic aberrations, which are associated with enhanced sensitivity to individual treatment regimens. Thus, we have created an experimental system that allows the rapid, genotype-specific, discovery of actionable cancer-associated molecular liabilities.
